Tracks 3, 5, and 7 recorded in the unfinished basement to my mom's house (natural reverb). The rest of the tracks were recorded in my basement room in Springfield.
All recording was done using Audacity while all mixing was done in FL Studio.
This album is a mixture of sorts. I had a lot of tracks sitting around. Tracks 1, 2, 4, 6, 8, and 9 were originally going to be part of an EP called "See Color," which was about seeing the good in the world. A title track was recorded under the same name, until I realized that, out of context, repeating the phrase "I see color" seemed really racist. I opted not to subject myself to that. I'm going to rework the lyrics and see if I still want to release that track (I really enjoyed the instrumentation).
Another track that was not included was called "Hands Held." It was recorded in the same basement as tracks 3, 5, and 7, but I felt like it deserved more than the low-quality recordings done with those (though I admit that I do love the low-quality for those three songs). I'm going to revisit it and try to convince Rosa to do a duet with me on it. I'm thinking acoustic guitar, mandolin, and piano for that track. Will be really snazzy.
